Do you remember the moment that changed your life? I do! It was on a trip to Kansas City, Missouri, in 2011. It was the first time I had authentic BBQ — specifically Joe’s Kansas City. Within two weeks of returning home I bought a smoker and have spent the last 10+ years perfecting my craft. 

I’ve hosted and prepared delicious BBQ for many gatherings while learning. Over time, I’ve asked for feedback to help make some of the best BBQ north of Kansas City. Many people said it was only a matter of time before I would start my own restaurant. Late in 2021, I decided it was time to chase the dream and start HammerQ! 

I look forward to making amazing BBQ every day I fire up the smoker.
